Makeup Tips from the Set with Celebrity Make Up Artist Kim Greene
Iʼm still working on the Charlieʼs Angels pilot and we have been doing night shoots. Basically that means we start our day at around 4pm and work until 7 am when the sun comes up. Even making an Angel look beautiful for her close up at four in the morning can be challenging!
I have a few tips that will help you look awake & refreshed, even if youʼre not.
These tips are added to an already made up face. Makeup can get dry & cakey looking as the day or night progresses which makes you look dull & tired. I really like a product called Seaplasma Moisturizer Spray from Focus 21. Itʼs oil & alcohol free. It contains NA-PCA which draws moisture from the air. I spray it on & press it into the skin (over makeup) with a sponge. It makes the makeup look like you just applied it. You can also use it on your face before applying your makeup & itʼs great for your hair too.
They say that your eyes are the windows to your soul, so letʼs talk about keeping those windows clear & bright looking. Thereʼs a product called “Eye Bright” from Benefit. Itʼs a pink brightening pencil. You should apply it to the inner & outer corners of your eyes & blend. Two great eye tips are to apply a white or nude toned eyeliner pencil to the lower water line or rim of the eye. Try Paula Dorf eye pencil in the color Enhancer. You can also apply a white or creme toned powder eyeshadow to the center of the lid. A good option is Mac “Gesso”. Both make the eyes look larger & more open.
Have a great day or night. Get some rest if you can.
